Afterburn Soccer Show Live: Road Point in Colorado &
FC Dallas grab a rare road point in Colorado behind three big goals. We go live at 8 PM CST to break it all down for a team that is looking stronger and stronger.
Well, did you see that coming?
FC Dallas went to the Rocky Mountain state on Saturday night, a tough a place to play as any for our boys from Frisco. And they found a result, ending 3-3, and now have four points from the first two matches, both of which have been on the road.
I wrote about it on Saturday night here, but we have to commend these players for going down goals once again and battling back. For a moment, they looked to be the stronger side too. Logan Farrington’s goal should have counted. Maybe.
Tonight at 8 PM CST, I’ll invite our crew to go live with us and break it down, what they liked, what gives them hope, and what can still improve.
The three big stories for me:
How much better can Petar Musa and Lucho Acosta get in their rapidly strengthening partnership?
Who gets the nod opposite Anderson Julio on the wing? Pedrinho got his first start, but Eric Quill said after the match that it’s a battle between him, Bernard Kamungo, and Logan Farrington.
What does it mean to you as a fan to have a coach and a tactic that is aggressive when other teams would bottle things up?
Finally, can this defense improve? We may not spend a ton of time on this, as the answer is likely the same as the evolving play between Musa and Acosta. Give it time. These guys are all figuring things out, especially with a midfield that may still need some tweaks down the line.
We’ll get to these topics and more. Watch right here on this page or jump over on YouTube and chat with us.
