FC Dallas Get a Huge Road Point in Colorado Behind Resurgent Offense
The 3-3 result has Dallas undefeated in its first two away matches of the 2025 season and showcased Quill's aggressive approach on the road.

When Eric Quill took charge of FC Dallas, he made a lot of promises as to the kind of attacking brand of football that fans would see. Two games in, away games at that, Quill’s approach in Frisco is bearing fruit.
Is it completely pretty and perfectly organized? Of course not.
Are there still many areas of improvement? Yes.
But it’s hard to imagine the previous FC Dallas rosters finding the moxy and creative freedom to go down two goals and push back to tie it up. And then push for a go ahead goal, even to the final whistle.
While he was frustrated with the slow start, as Colorado blitzed Dallas for two goals in the first 39 minutes, Eric Quill told media after the match that he had a clear message for his guys all week long, “We are here to get three points.”
Despite being in a hole on the road, Dallas found away, first off of persistent runs by Anderson Julio who fed a ball to youngster Pedrinho who blasted in his first MLS goal of his career. Minutes later, Acosta and Musa diced through the Rapids defense leading to the No. 10 cheekily lofting in the tying goal. The game turned on its head.
In the second half, FC Dallas did not relent on the intensity, making some adjustments but continuing to push for more than just a point. This led to Petar Musa’s second goal of the season, a scrappy poacher’s effort, a result of the Burn taking the game to Colorado. While Colorado were able to find an equalizer, breaking down the work in progress backline for Dallas, the attack never let up.
Quill made clear to fans - this kind of intensity will continue.
And truly, it may just be getting started.
Quill told media that the partnership between Musa and Acosta is growing with each practice, and tonight’s performance, as the two found new ways to combine for dangerous plays, is the tip of the iceberg.
He also lauded Pedrinho’s first start and the creative ideas the young player brings higher up the pitch, acknowledging though that his endurance and ability to influence the game in all phases of the pitch needs growth.
Give love to Marco Farfan, who remains steadiest and most creative defender for FC Dallas. He routinely found himself in dangerous positions as the game wore on.
But it is a new era for FC Dallas. If nothing else, fans can expect to see a group of players that will show up, home or away, and battle together. Even if most games turn out to be a shootout, you will be entertained.
While the game finished in a draw, Colorado remains one of the most difficult places for FC Dallas to play. Beginning this year with four points from two away games is a massive start to the season. It only looks brighter when rumors abound of a new defensive midfielder on the way and the potential for this team to develop stronger bonds on and off the field.
We’ll have more on the match in the coming days, and of course, will go live on Monday night with our soccer show to break it all down.
