SPEAKER 1
Hey, Caleb, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. All right, I'm Nathan Hill with Afterburn Soccer, a blog and podcast covering FC Dallas and North Texas. And especially, it's been fun to get some of the North Texas players and share stories of guys like you making their way in professional soccer and through this system.

So I think there'll be a lot of folks curious about your story. Yes, sir. So first of all, congratulations on signing with North Texas. I know you've been with the Academy for a few years. What brought you into the FC Dallas organization? I think you were with Solar before, right? And how has that experience been?

It's been a great experience. So I started out at Solar and I grew up playing FC Dallas once every month. And so the competition was always there. And I think they just had a little bit more edge and the older I got, the more I wanted to become a pro.

Interview: Caleb Swann

Afterburn Soccer spoke with Caleb Swann, new North Texas Soccer Club signing, a couple of weeks back. Here is the video and audio from that conversation.

Thanks to Caleb Swann for the time and for the North Texas media crew to make these interviews possible.

Be sure to read our write-up on the interview.

Here are a couple of highlights from the signing announcement:

North Texas SC has signed FC Dallas Academy midfielder Caleb Swann to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.

Swann joined the FC Dallas Academy for the 2022-23 season. Swann has featured for the FC Dallas Academy in MLS NEXT Fest and Flex tournaments and trained with North Texas SC throughout the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season. Prior to joining North Texas, Swann committed to play Division 1 soccer at the University of Maryland.

“I am very much looking forward to working with Caleb and watching him continue to develop within our pathway,” said North Texas SC head coach John Gall. “He’s industrious in the middle of the park and very intelligent on both sides of the ball. He’s a player that I am very familiar with, and I’m so happy for him and his family.”
